The Ambiance of a Finnish Market

Eela Laitinen, a Finnish artist studying in the U.K., created these sketches to capture the ambiance of Helsinki market square. They’re compelling for the depth of colour and surrealistic scope. She says she’s hoping to bind them into a book. But her long-term focus is textile design (see more of that here)

      You always express such a great eye. I looked at beasts as well for this post, but loved the combo of colors in the market series. You know an artist really has it when you just can’t choose.
