Robert C. Jackson took an unusual path to his current life as a contemporary realist still life artist. He graduated in electrical engineering, designed radio systems for Motorola, and then left the corporate world to serve the ministry as an assistant pastor before he turned to painting full-time. Today, the Pennsylvania-based artist is widely considered one of the most important mid-career American realist painters. See his website, here.
